Hurrah- a decent loss again! Today I woke up and weighed myself and was down .7kg. That’s a huge, huge amount for a single day, so I think yesterday’s gain must have been a little bit of an anomaly. Whatever it is with a .7kg (1.5lb loss) I’ll take it. I’m now down to 78kg so overall not bad. Tomorrow it will be pretty much a week since I started, so I’ll get a sense of how I’ve done overall then. I need to lose 20+kg so I need this to speed up if I’m going to get even halfway there in eight weeks. One thing I do realise is that this is really only day six- day one was a half day. So I’ll forgive my body a little for not letting go of its fat faster.
I have a confession to make- I’m writing this somewhat under the influence. As part of this diet I have largely given up sugar and alcohol, but to make it bearable I promised myself one glass of wine a week. Today is wine day!
Funnily enough- sitting here with the wine glass now empty, I enjoyed it, there’s definitely something relaxing about a nice glass of red in the evening, but… I didn’t love it. The anticipation was definitely better than the reality I’m sad to say, although if I had even slightly less willpower I’d probably be sitting here now with another glass.
